bAKE WILL NOT WORK
Model Number: MER5755QAW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
When You Hit Bake It Will Not Prset To 350 De. It Goes To 170 And Stays There But Broil Works Fine

Getting an ice box to bake wow!
That is a pretty good trick. More than likely it is a bad heating element.

Very easy fix
This is the heating element I suspect is bad. This element is the most common replacement part for this particular stove:bake element.jpg
