Brand: Whirlpool Age: Less than 1 year
Bought a new evaporator fan from this site, and it came in 2 pieces consisting of the motor and the fan blade.
What is the correct position for installing the fan blade back on the motor spindle - another words, which way should the blade points be facing? Thanks. |

You take the new motor, with installed fan blade and plug it in the wall outlet, if blade is installed right, it will blow air. When installed in the fridge. it must direct air into the refrigerator and the freezer. If the motor turns the wrong way, you must reverse the armature, if the motor can be taken apart.

Thanks for the respones, and no I appreciate the advice about matching the old setup. However, I must be somethng short of a dumb *** as I took out the old one to clean it and in dis-assembly - never paid attention to which way the blades went, so have never been sure about the original configutation. Then I thought about whether to test by blowing or sucking in, and again was not sure which it should be... so in any event - thanks to both of you!
