Default Fridge warm on top
Model Number: FRS6LR5EW2   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Hi,I noticed my ice maker stopped dumping ice but then a little later I realized my refrigerator was only cold on the bottom.I took the back off the inside of the freezer and the coils were frosted up. I changed the defrost thermostat and the same thing happened. I also noticed the fan doesn't come on above the coils either. Next I changed the defrost timer and still frosts up and no fan or ice tray doesn't even fill either. It seems as though I'm not getting power to the ice maker, fan, and or heater...Any suggestions? I hate to buy a new refrigerator after already dumping over a hundred dollars into this and it's only two years old.
Thanks for any advice.

You will need a meter to trace where the power for the freezer fan is lost. First verify no voltage to the fan motor, if none, you may have a bad connection for the defrost thermostat. Pull off the bottom kick panel and check the service sheet. You may find the fan wiring goes through the defrost thermostat and also maybe through the door switch. Post results.
