freezer frosts up, and fridge gets warm. i turned freezer off (unplugged), defrosted freezer, plugged back in and works fine for a week or so. then freezer frosts up again and fridge gets warm.

sounds as if you have a defrost problem ,at least one of three parts haf failed .defrost timer .defrost heater , or defrost terminator, locate timer in fridge section at upper back ,
