Evening all, as the above Model and title show, my in-laws freezer started making a clicking and the freezer itself became warm. They cleaned it out, we defrosted 24+ hours, plugged it in and still the same. Looking in from the top is the ice maker, right under that is a slotted vent where you can see a fan and an accompanying click. As you hear each click (roughly every 2 seconds) it looks like the fan moves 25% of a full circle. From a phone diag, it was said we probably need a fan motor, so I purchased it today (this is the part,
WR60X10185 (FAN MOTOR)) from a local store and was told it's a silmple one plug.
Unplugging the unit tonight, there is only one way from the back twords the bottom. I removed 3 screws and after removing the 'door', 95% of what is taken up is a huge circut board but on each 'click' it seemed the noise came from down there vs. higher when listening from the front.
I can't find any diagrams or anything to help understand both if this is the fix and more important how to get to it! I'm sure 'tech's' that cruise the site can answer more, but if there is a chance this is the right product to fix, how do you get to it? Are most of these parts fixed from inside (I would have to remove the lights or move things around) or should I be looking at the back (removing the circuit board) etc.
I look forward to suggestions, ideas, etc. I can post images etc. if it will help tomorrow as I said it's for my inlaws, so I'm trying to be a good son-in-law and help out
Thanks again ....
