I have a GE refrigerator model GSH25JFTAWW that is three years old. Within the last couple months the water dispenser tube has been freezing 2-3” from the discharge end of the dispenser tube. I am able to clear the blockage by injecting hot water into the discharge end of the dispenser tube but it freezes again within 1-3 days. I have read some posts on various repair forums of GE owners experiencing the identical problem but with different models. Service techs have responded to these posts stating that installation of a dispenser water tube heater kit (AppliancPartsPros.com part AP4318572, GE part WR49X10173) should correct the problem. I want to verify the referenced part is universal and/or will work with my model prior to purchasing. Can this be confirmed? Thanks.
