Hi,Jim here and a newbie at this site.I work as a Engr.on tugboats,and don't do as much appliance repair as I use to.I have a side by side Maytag Plus with no cooling on cooler side and increasing temps on freezer side.I have good voltage to the condenser fan motor.And then nada.Put a meter on the motor and she is open.Thermo controls all request circuit to close so I think they are all right.The funny thing is it appears that some rodent has been in the unit and eating insulation off the wire in the back.I found droppings and nest type material,as well as a broken wire.That happen much?Anyway I am looking for a motor for that unit and any ideas on how to keep out the varmints,and still have air to cool the unit.I have learned a couple things here just by browsing.I am in the east bay area No.Calif.by Concord,if any one has a suggestion on reasonable parts.Thanks for forum Jim
