The unit is leaking what seems to be insulation “green and sticky” similar to great stuff from the lower left corner of the freezer compartment. It’s oozing from the parting line where the outer shell meets the inner shell. I had a service tech come out and he stated that this could not be fixed and the unit needs to be replaced.
During normal use, this area on the outside of the unit is worm to the touch. Is this normal or is this a cooling system problem?
Have you heard of this before?
If so what is causing the problem?
Can it be fixed?
Is this a problem caused by the sealed refrigerating system?
Is it something to be concerned about or should I clean up the goo and forget about it?
