My Whirlpool won't cycle off enough. The freezer gets to -25 and the fridge to 20. I ran diagnostics using the control panel and it says the Thermistor, Evaporator, Compressor and Defroster are all fine. I did an ohm test on the Thermistor and resistance went up and down with cold and heat. I took the control panel out and now the compressor cycles less often and the temps are a perfect 0 and 37. What is controlling the compressor with the control panel out. I'd leave it out but am afraid it controls other things like the defroster. I'd like to order just the circuit board but everyone wants you to buy the whole control panel for more money. Any ideas.
Thanks
Roger
