Noticed that the freezer wasn't working very well and food was getting pretty warm. Found large ice block on the back lower louvers. Cleaned off and removed the back panel to find bottom of coil and sensor completely caked in ice. Used blowdryer to clear and then put back together. Air didn't seem very cold. The next day I pulled back apart and found that the bottom was frosted up again but the rest of the coil was not cold. Read about timers and defrost but not sure if this points to them as a problem. Other posts stated I will have a fully covering frost if they are to blame, but the defrost element is right below the frozen area. This fridge was lent to a friend and I saw was moldy at one time. When returned it was clean so I suspect they washed out if that can have any affect.
