Model Number: PSF26NGTB BB Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
First the freezer would not go below 9 degrees. Zero normal. Turned it off for 30-60 minutes and it seemed to work again. Also would make ice very slowly.
I seems to freeze up every 20-24 hours. I have a temp prob in the freezer. It will drop to -8 degrees during the first 6-12 hours. Then later no lower than 15 degrees. I have checked the fans, inside and outside. Working. I found the diagram and measured the defrost heater. (blue and orange wires on the main board). It seems good. The compressor seems to pull the temp down quickly. I had replaced the ice maker five months back. It sounds like it is not running a defrost cycle. How often should it run a cycle? Could it be the main board, item 801? Suggestions. Lee |
