Check if the end of the ice container control rod goes into the solenoid guide right way. If you removed the control rod while replaced the auger (you called it drum), check if it's installed in right way.

I still recommend to check if the end of the ice container control rod goes into the solenoid guide right way.

Does the solenoid click in both (cubed and crashed ice) modes while the ice dispenser calls for ice?
