Yes it moves. I can get ice through the door if I put ice in the drum. If I don't manually put ice in the drum it wont give me any ice.

If the solenoid is bad then it's going to be crushed ice only. You probably did something wrong while being working with the ice container. Gene. P.S. You did not explain which part you called "drum" yet.
