Model Number: TFX27PRXD WW Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I have side by side and it still looks good so I would like to fix it.
It has little cooling noticeable only at the evaporator.
Initial test after tapping the low side was showing vacuum while still charged when I run the fridge.
I recovered the full charge of R134A, 5.3oz.
Filter/dryer isn' clogged.
I cut capillary tubing from the filter/dryer side and snaked by guitar string. No obstruction felt but couldn't reach to the evap. due to the string length.
I was blowing air through it, it has some resistance so I am trying to figure out how much resistance it should have so it's not clogged.
Compressor is pulling 25inHg is short time while capillary disconnected at the filter/dryer side and after shutdown it levels out with outside pressure within about 4 minutes so I am not sure if the time is too long which would indicate some clog or if it's correct.
Thanks for attention.
