Just got a new compressor for my whirlpool sXs refrig. The new compressor comes with a new Drier, start relay and overload switch.
The drier that is sent with it also has a service port already on it. Being the old defective compressor does not have a service port on it and the process port is plugged off on it. Should I use the new drier and where would it be put in the line. Also what is the process port used for. The new compressor also comes with a optional start capacitor. The original unit does not have a start cap on it. Should I put it on the new one being it is show as optional.
The model number above is for the new compressor

All parts came with the new compressor must be installed. The old dryer must be replaced as well. The process port is made for vacuuming and charging the system. You can install a service port there.
