Model Number: TFX25PA Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I have a GE Profile side by side refrigerator. The only model # I can find is TFX25PA, there are no more letters to be found.
I seem to have ice build up on the bottom of my freezer all the time. This water build up (before) it freezes never seems to want to drain into the drain hole. Its almost as if the hole is not in the ideal spot to catch the pooling water. I have checked my drain and it is not clogged. When this ice builds up at the reservoir, I eventually get water puddling on the bottom of the freezer and that freezes...then water begins to leak out the front bottom left side of the freezer. What are my options? Why wont it drain? When I took off the inside freezer panel, the "coils" were frosty on the bottom, not frosty on the top. Is there a problem with my defrost? Here are some pics. Yellow arrow shows where ice build up occurs...it also builds up at the top lip reservoir by the drain. Red arrow shows where the water eventually leaks out the front of the freezer and puddles on my hardwood floor. ![]() here you can see how the water is puddling but see how the drain is located so high up the reservoir. If you look close, you can see the water line now. Its actually right at the tip of the arrow. ![]() Ads By Google Related Models |
