Hi everybody, I'm a first time poster and would like to wish you all a happy, prosperous and most importantly healthy new year.
I live in the UK (Manchester) and I have a Whirlpool side by side fridge/freezer. Went into it this morning for some milk and realised that it was warm and everything was defrosted in the freezer.
On investigation I have found that the temp overload relay in the compressor starter has broken down. I have tried to locate a new one in the UK but it is proving difficult so as a last resort I am trying to get some help from you guys before I have to spend 1200 dollars on a new fridge/freezer.
the markings on the existing starter are, KLIXON, 4SP, 4SP1019, 2204309, 10 POOR, Made in Mexico.
I guess that this is an obsolete part but if somebody could give me a replacement part number so that I can order one from this site then I would really appreciate it.
