The ice dispenser in the front of the ice ben, and the shoot on the freezer door continue to "freeze up" so the ice cannot be dispensed.

The ice dispenser has to be defrosted once a week. And ice accumulates in the freezer door shoot.

Most likely you need to replace the flapper for the chute. Sounds like it's not sealing to the frame properly and letting air in and causing the frost-up problem.
A common problem and not an expensive repair. The part has also been improved from the original.

Thank you for the reply. The model number of the Kitchen Aid

Model Number: KSRS2506WH01
Brand: Kitchen Aid

Is not listed in the index. How do I get a part number for the ice maker shoot flapper?

Where are you getting your model #?
You should be taking it off the data plate located in the fresh food compartment.

Thank you for your help. The part seems to be working fine. One question: The older flap had a heater with it. The new one does not. Is that problem?

Thanks again!
