I have a Frigidaire Top Freezer type refridge. One day I opened the bottom and noticed damp swet on everything. I opened the freezer up top and there was a soft frost hanging in long strands from the ceiling of the freezer. The fan was running and a heavy dry cold mist was coming out.

I opened the back and noticed a light frost on the cooling fins and a slight blockage in the vent attached to the backing plate. I let the fridge thaw and cleaned everything and noticed it did it again also the fridge never stopped unless I turned the control knob all the way to zero.. My husband not having the time to play with it went and replaced the defrost timer and sensor. Everything was fine. After 3 hrs the fridge turned itself off and things seemed normal at the bottom. By the next morning there was the same frost in the same place and the bottom was not cold. We reversed the wires on the fan and still no cold air coming down through the foam vent. "WHAT ARE WE MISSING?"
