My problem is this: my freezer and refrig. stopped cooling. Freezer was about 30 degrees and Frig was 55 degrees. We turned it off over night and turned it back on. The freezer is now 0 degrees with the thermostat all the way cold. The frig is still at 48 degrees all the way cold. What would make the frig not get cold enough when the freezer is doing right?

In the upper right side of the fridg, locate the defrost timer housing and turn the defrost timer shaft till the compressor stops running. If you now get defrost action, replace the defrost timer. If not, remove freezer back panel. If all frozen up, defrost with a hair dryer and check the defrost heater and thermostat. Replace both.
