My question is, I ordered the water intake valve no. GEH WR57X10012 for the above model.

The original, before it started leaking had the quick connect "push" tubes. The one sent to me now have the threaded style. How do I connect?

It was confirmed by online support adam/lon that this is the correct part.

I also need to know, since the original has been off for many months now which tube to go into which solenoid?

I await your reply.

thanks again

Dear deano49,

I have double checked the valve and come up with the same part number having threaded lines.

If your origonal valve has push in fittings you will have to make sure the tube is straight and use threaded nuts that you can pick up local or we can supply you with.

As far which of the two tubes go on which side you will notice there are two sizes. One is a 1/4" (smaller) and the other a 5/16" (larger). The smaller line provides water to the ice while the larger supplies water for the dispenser.

Please call me if you have any further questions. I will be glad to help

I just replace the water inlet valve. Still not making Ice and about a glass of water is dispensing automatic every 10 minutes. I plug the red wire to the red and the white to the green of the valve. Did I plug the wire wrong?

Sounds like you wired them backwards, if you push the water dispensing switch and water fills your ice maker cube mold then that will certainly confirm the solenoids are wired incorrectly...
