My freezer is only freezing at the bottom shelf. the temp gradually warms to 45 degs. at the top shelf. I found that the fan motor is inoperable. is there any other part that might cause this?:(

Unfortunately I could not find a parts breakdown.
I am assuming this is an evaporator fan inside the freezer.

It could be that this is you only problem. Especially if the unit is cycling normally.
One thing to check is the evaporator coils inside the freezer to see if they are heavily frosted/iced up which would indicate a defrost problem.
