Model Number: GBS22HCPAWW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Our refridgerator department was not cooling but the freezer seemed to be fine. After ready some post on here, I removed the back panel in the freezer to expose the cooling coils which were all iced over. I manually defrosted the coils all day.
I checked the continuity of the defroster heater(ref art No. WR19766 C11), I did this by disconnecting the heater plug and tested it thru the connector which seems to flow thru the thermaldisc . My assumption is that since I had continuity it should be fine. From what I can tell, the only two items left to check would be the Sensor Temp and Main Board. I not sure how to diagnose these, if there is a way. As I am writing this, I turned the refrigerator back in and both compartments is cooling down. Is there a way to diagnose the parts I mentioned as well as, did I miss something else to check? Thank You Rick Ads By Google Related Models |
