Model Number: ETV21S Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
This freezer is 30+ yrs old. The comprssor trips on overload. The compressor terminals measure A-B 17.6 ohms, B-C 8.2 ohms and A-C 19.7 ohms.

Read my article in the general talk section. If your start relay is an actual wire coil type, yes your compressor is probably bad. You may get it going with the 3n1 hard start kit, get the RCO410 one or URCO41 if it has a run capacitor.
