Model Number: KSRS251KSS03 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 1 - 5 years
I've been encountering this intermittent problem in the past. That is, the freezer stops producing the ice. The 'band aid' solution that have worked in the past is just to reset the thermostat. That is to put it off then put it back. You'd know it starts to work because you can hear the compressor starts. This same situation happened often last summer. Maybe 4 times or even more. Every time I have to reset I have to put it into a higher position. The last time it happened was about 2 days ago when it was already at position 4. This time it did not work immediately after resetting that I have to unplug the refrigerator then reset the thermostat. I suspect the slide thermostat is defective. If it is, how would I know that it is indeed the problem. Then how would I replace it?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanking you in advance. |
