Model Number: msd2458gbe   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years   

Freezer ices up even after I have changed the defrost heater and the thermostat assembly...

Hi Carlos,

Most likely the problem with your fridge is a bad adaptive defrost control (#13 on the controls break down diagram).

This is most common problem for Maytag refrigerators in last 10 years.

- The part number for the adaptive defrost control is AP3160614

Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag refrigerator Model MSD2458GEB
