Model Number: LRTD19A   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years   

Our fridge came with the house we just bought. Today it stopped cooling. Both the fridge and the freezer are getting warm. HELP!

Remove the back cover and check if the compressor and the condenser fan (next to the compressor) are running.

If they both are not running, locate the defrost timer (#22 on the unit break down diagram) and using a flat screwdriver, slowly turn the shaft CW for about 90°. See if the compressor will start.

Post your findings.
