Default refrigerator and freezer stoped
Model Number: 106.8566980   Brand: Kenmore   Age: More than 10 years   
a friend gave me this fridge worked good at his place took home worked 3 days then it stoped i have lights in fridge but the control panel has nothing any ideas what might of happend

If the fridge is completely dead and does not make any noises - most likely the problem is a bad main control board.

Unfortunately the part is no longer available.

My Bad it is Parts & Accessories | Shop & Find Lawn & Garden, Appliance Parts at Sears Parts Direct | SearsPartsDirect.com from Sears they do have almost all parts for mine including main board and all controls.

You can get kenmore parts from AppliancePartsPros as well, for less in most cases. After all, Sears is just a department store, they don't actually manufacture appliances or parts. Unfortunately, socasml's board has been discontinued and is no longer available.
