Hi!

I have been noticing the freezer light is intermittant. I would open the door and the light would flicker and I would "bump" the switch and it would stay lit. Today, I opened it and found frost showing up and the light out.

I also noticed that the doors are easy to open- there would be a few seconds where I would hear a sucking sound and the doors would be hard to open until the sucking sound stopped. I know that was a normal function. Now, no more sound and the doors are easy to open immediately after closing.

Does this have anything to do with the door switch?

This morning I opened the ref and it seems to cool ok- I can hear it cycle on and off, but still no vacuum mode and no light-

OK- After taking some more time, found the light bulb loose in socket (DUH!) so that is ok-
the switch seems to be ok too- It turns on/off the light and the condenser? fan goes on/off with the switch. Pulled the back panels and found everything mostly clean. Everything else works ok, ice, water, cooling/defrost, temp adjustments, fans for express thaw/chill, etc.
But no vacuum? mode. No "gurguling" or "sucking" sounds which were always present after opening/closing the doors. Worried about the water that is occasionally in the drip pan. Dry. Not a bad thing, but something IS missing.

Please help!!!

Thanks!
