Model Number: AP4345120 (WR30X10093) Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
My original Ice maker was over filling on occasion.
I brought someone in who said I needed a new one. Therefore I ordered one WR30X10093/ WR30X10102 and figured I'd give it a wirl myself first. I installed the new icemaker and it is making ice however it is also filling my ice bucket up with water which of course then freezes into a block. I had to use the power cord extension that came with the kit because my ice maker uses the old four pin jack (does anyone know if there are issue with the extension cord?). I did notice on the front of the ice maker there was a screw that had +/- witten into the plastic. The instructions give no information regarding what this is for, and or any hints as to how to stop overfilling? I have read other respondents and think I should try turning the screw toward sthe negative sign. thoughts? I am also curious where I find the fill valve? -thanks -TK Related Models |

The Water Valve is most likely your problem. it is located in the back of the fridge behind the cardboard cover and will have a water line directly connected to it. the valves over time collect dirt and stop closing all the way which lets extra water drip into the ice tray or icemaker. replace that part and you will be good to go. (old icemaker is probably still good)
