water(dispenser) leak inside door of GE Refrigerator
We moved into this house in North Alabama a little over a year ago , the appliances came with which was nice. aside from a few minor cosmetic things they all seem new'ish and work fine . The GE fridge however , I finally got around to hooking up the water line .I'm not sure if it was ever hooked up long . the water filter looks like the one that came in the unit new, still has the factory packing tape on it. It makes ice fine ,in fact inside 24 hours it filled the bin. the water dispenser works great too but I noticed immediately after I dispense water , it leaves a small puddle under the hinge side of the door . We have real hardwood floors so I would rather not have water sitting. So, my question is...how do I get inside the door to address the leak? I'm guessing theres a cracked fitting or possibly a broken line. For all I know a mouse could have gotten in and chewed a line , the house was empty for a year . It is the stainless steel model . I dont see any screws . Wondering if I have to take the interior off to get to the water lines and fittings. A manual would be handy ,Thanks .
