My Kenmore Elite fridge with water dispenser in door squeaks during opening/closing the fridge door. (Top freezer model - freezer door does not squeak). It sounds like the squeak is coming from "inside" the door (i.e., I don't think it's the hinges). I wonder if it's related to the water delivery system in the door...

Any ideas on source or how to fix it?

Try a light coating of grease / vaseline on the hinge side of the door, sometimes the gasket can catch.

Check the door closure cams re: the bottom door hinge.

Check that the door switch is not causing the racket.

Without being there cannot really say where the squeak is originating.
