Frozen water supply tube to icemaker
Model Number: WRS325FNAM Brand:
Less than 1 year
Hello, My unit is less than a year old... I had this problem, along with a water leak from the top of the supply tube where it connects from the outside to the ice maker. I gather once the water supply "chute" to the ice maker freezes, something is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced? i.e. thawing is always a temporary resolution? I did notice the freezer setting was at 4 (1:00 position), which is beyond the notched position at 12:00...could this higher setting be the cause? Another aspect of my situation is I have relatively high water pressure into my house. I closed the water supply valve to roughly 1/2 to 3/4 open. Could that be a factor? As far as the leak, I made sure the tube was fully inserted (with metal sleeve inside) and tightened the clamp as much as possible...assume the leak resulted from the pump pushing against the blocked tube, and will stop with a functioning tube?
Many thanks...the new wood floors can't tolerate any more leaks!
