Within the recent 2 months you have helped determine the cause and repair of the evaporator coil frosting over. Replacement of the heating element surrounding the coil on the freezer side (not the cause) then the defrost cycle circuit board on the refrigerator side (the solution) solved the problem.http://forum.appliancepartspros...ages/smilies/biggrin.gif

Upon returning yesterday from 3 days away, we discovered that the entire unit (both sides) was at room temperature (65º). Everything perishable had spoiled. http://forum.appliancepartspros.../images/smilies/mad.gifI can hear a fan running and see inside lights lit but no cooling at all. Before spending $1,000+ for a new unit, I want to be certain that a relatively inexpensive or simple fix is not a solution. Please provide whatever advice I may use to determine the cause and subsequent repair.http://forum.appliancepartspros...ges/smilies/confused.gif Thank you (again).
