Believe my freezer is trying to tell me something but I can get no guidance from the instruction manual, the service manual or Frigidaire support.

When the freezer door is opened, it usually beeps and flashes the interior light. The control panel shows 0 degrees F which is the correct interior temperature. Occasionally, it behaves normally. Control panel is usually not responsive. The control panel may briefly operate after I power the box down and restart it.

Support said they have never heard of this situation. Suggested making sure that the interior vents were clear. It sounds like something has failed and the box is running in a failsafe mode.

Is this a control panel or door switch failure? If so, how do I change the part out?
