This side by side has always had this issue from new and I'm fed up with it.

I get freezer burn on everything I put in the freezer. I can't keep ice cream for more than a couple months, no matter how well I seal it after opening or even if it hasn't been opened.

Everything is affected by this issue.

I suspect that the defrost cycle is getting too warm or that I have a varying temp issue that is causing this?

I've tried to hang a thermometer in the freezer to monitor temp but was not very successful.

I'm wondering if it's the defrost thermostat that has maybe always been off from the original build? Is this part adjustable?

Am I on the right track?
