Troubleshooting Control Bd Msg - Now What?
Model Number: 596.75522400 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a Kenmore bottom-freezer refrigerator. Model #: 596.75522400.
Recently replaced compressor and the Control Board Kit (Jazz) -- part #12002339. Freezer keeping ice frozen. Refrigerator warm. Control board troubleshooting Service Test #1 indicates that "Defrost Thermostat Shorted (closed)." Now what? Do I need a new control board? Is the Control Board controlling all of these systems? Or is there a separate Defrost Thermostat that can be replaced? Thanks for your help.
