Hello,

I have this samsumg refrigerator RB194ABWP that i bought about 6 years ago.

About 2 weeks ago, the bottom freezer just stopped working. However the top refrigerator works fine with no problems. Temperature in refrigerator is at 4 degrees celcius and freezer is at 10 celcius.

What I have tried so far:

1 - Confirmed the setting in the freezer to be set at -18 degrees celcius

2 - Unplug device for 24 hours and plug back.

3 - Did a thorough cleaning of the condensor coils with an air compressor. It was the first time i done it since i bought and it was dirty.

4 - Confirmed that the compressor fan engages when needed.

5 - Replaced the refrigerator thermistore (the device to detect temperature in freezer and display temp number on panel)

6 - Opened panel in bottom freezer and turned the evaporator fan blade with no resistance. I also put a multimeter to it and turned the fan by hand and saw resistance change on my display.

7 - Searched the internet for days and spent hours and hours without finding anyone having the same problem as mine. Usually, people have the reverse problem, their freezer works and refrigerator doesn't work.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I find this problem very odd.

Thank you!
Phil
