I recently replaced the adaptive defrost control in my fridge for an unrelated issue. The replacement kit is 5303918476 which is an updated part for the original control. Following the instructions I reconnected everything (leaving the one damper switch disconnected. The confusion I am having is that the temperature control dial for the fridge side has 4 terminals on it but the the new wiring harness that came with the new control kit only has 3 wire/connectors. One is green/yellow, another is white/purple wire and last is black. I"m pretty sure I've got the black and green/yellow wire connected to the correct terminals as I switched the wiring connectors one at a time, but with the remaining purple/white wire, I'm not sure which one to connect to. Reason I'm asking is because after I put everything back together, the first time, the fridge side was only getting down to about 14C, which seems to be a bit too warm and there was no air flow coming the damper outlet (yes the evaporator fan is working). I'm trying to figure out if I connected to the wrong terminal.
I've google and youtubed this and can't find any mention of this scenario.
