I have a Kitchen Aid side-by-side that is not maintaining its temperature and for a while was much too warm. The freezer was ranging from +20F to +40F. Left it unplugged and opened overnight for approximately 12 hours. Plugged it in and closed it up at 7 am this morning. At noon, the temp was -10F in the freezer and +35F in the fridge. Now, an hour later, the freezer is +10F and the Fridge is +45. Is this kind of fluctuation normal for a self-defrosting unit? If not, is it a fix I can attempt myself? Or do I need to have it checked out by a pro?

Thank you.
