Scotsman DC33 icemaker water valve
Model Number: DCE-33 Brand: -other- Age: More than 10 years
I have an older scottsman DC-33 icemaker that needs an inlet water valve. Do i have to buy the scotsman valve or will any 120V water valve work? The scotsman valve is ~$100 and a regular washing machine or diswasher valve is ~$20. Just looking to save a little money if I can.

Kevin,
You definitely can not use a water valve designed for a washer in the ice maker. It has to be OEM part only if you are not looking for a troubles. Gene.
