Electrolux side by side refrigerator with bottom drawer freezer model number ew23bc71iw0 installed 7-9-2010 quit making ice about 6 months ago. Shortly after this the ice bin became stuck.

All information I have seen about repair starts off by stating to first remove the bin. I cannot do that. The refrigerator has been left open and unplugged for days to see if ice had frozen the bin in place but it is still stuck. As you look at the bin there is a small release button to the right that is typically depressed to remove the bin. I depress this button but the bin will not slide out.

On the bottom of the ice maker apparatus are one Phillips screw and four about 1/4 size bolt heads visible, otherwise I see no fasteners that I can remove.

The refrigerator belongs to my parents, so my access to it will not be immediate when someone has a solution to try. Thank you for your time.
