The ice maker on my LG LFX25974ST refrigerator stopped working a few days ago. After some inspection, I found the wire that runs from the sensor on the underside of the ice tray to the motor was broken. I ordered a new assembly, part number AEQ73110203. I also downloaded a service manual.

When the part arrived, I swapped it out. It seemed like a simple job. The problem is the ice maker still is not working. I know the water is turned on because I can dispense water. When I push the ice dispense button, I can hear the motor turning.

I ran the diagnostic where you push the fill button for three seconds and nothing happened. I addition, I tested the ice detection sensor as described in the manual. The display should read empty, but it reads full.

Any ideas? Is it possible I got a defective unit? I ran the tests right after installing the new unit. Should I wait a period of time before running the tests?

Thanks in advance!
