I have a question regarding the temperature control for the refrigerator.
I have a Whirlpool Gold side by side. It has individual temperature setting knobs for the freezer / refrigerator. My initial complaint was that the refrigerator temperature seemed too warm.
I removed the control unit / damper door mechanism and have a general question on how this mechanism functions...
The damper door actuator rod is mechanically attached to the freezer control know. The colder I set the freezer temperature, the more this damper door is closed. I understand how this would effectively make the freezer colder by allowing less of the air to move to the refrigerator.
My question is how does the refrigerator side control its temperature?
The control knob for the refrigerator side is only electronic (potentiometer) and does not appear to have control of the damper door rod... so how does it regulate / adjust the temperature?
Thanks in advance.
