I got an icemaker for 'free' when I purchased my Frigidaire refrigerator. My husband and I installed it, and other than the loud 'clicking' noises it made while going through the cycle of releasing ice into the ice bin, it seemed OK. However, the longer time passes the more 'leaking' it appears to be doing - not just at the back edge of the icemaker but even across the length of the icemaker toward the front (see pic). It is worse at the back, but it is also leaking enough across the length of the icemaker to cause all of my ice in the bin to freeze together - not to mention the 'iceberg' is causes behind the icemaker onto the lower freezer shelf. I don't think it is the inlet valve leaking - or if it is, there has to be another problem because of the leaking across the entire unit. I have read a lot of forum data on icemaker issues, but have never run across this one... Is this model a 'hunk of junk' and/or is there perhaps another resolvable reason for the leakage? Thanks!
