My ice dispenser all of a sudden will not cut off. It is putting out crushed ice and the door panel shows cubed? I opened the door and the dispenser cut off but as soon as I shut the door it started again. I removed the ice holder but what a mess!! The auger motor continued to run. I tried the control panel but nothing will stop it. I removed the control panel and unplugged the connections but that did not stop the auger motor.
I finally disconnected the door switch. I put the ice holder back in and the ice maker works fine.
I looked at the diagram for the frig and the only 2 parts that might cause this is the solenoid or the auger motor?
Has anyone every experienced a problem like this or do you have any suggestions.
