I have a Kenmore Coldspot 106. It was having trouble cooling down and the surface area between the refrigerator and freezer was very hot as well as the compressor. I cleaned the coils underneath the unit and the fan blowing on the compressor is working. This helped slightly. When I put a small desk fan behind the unit blowing partially on the compressor and the coils it seems to work fine. Any ideas?
Thanks

With additional air flow across the coils and compressor, it very well could be a leak in the compressor/cooling coil system, or a restriction in the orifice tube (if it has one). This is not a DIY FIX. Repair guy should be able to determine leak, and depending on where, repair it and fill with new refrigerant.
