My Maytag refrigerator won't cool. The temperature control panel shows dashes and won't allow me to change the temperature setting. We unplugged the refrigerator for 5 minutes and that didn't help. The lights are on, but nothing else seems to be working. I feel that something needs to be reset. We got back from vacation this week and changed the temperature without any problems. While on vacation I put it in the defrost mode and then I reset the refrigerator and freezer to 4 after the vacation. The refrigerator worked fine for a couple of days. Now we noticed that the refrigerator isn't cooling and the temp control is locked in the dash position. If I need to repair this, I have to do it on my own. Please let me know what you think I might need to do.

Check online how to program a "Jazz Board" for a Maytag refrigerator. If following those instructions doesn't work you may have to replace it.

I tried re-programming the jazz board a bunch of times yesterday and it didn't work. On one of the tries, the dash symbol on the refrigerator section changed to a 5 or S - I couldn't tell which. So, I gave it another try last night and it worked. The refrigerator is still working, but I'm sure that the jazz board is going. It almost seems as if there is a loose connection. I'll check on the fridge everyday going forward to make sure that it is still working. :) Thanks for your input.
