My door water suddenly stopped working, not while I was using it but when I tried it, no water. It despenses ice perfectly and the ice tray is full up.
I just replaced the water valve per instructions and still no water. The only other observation is the the operating lever in the door that you push your glass against, has a bit of a snap/hesitation when pressed. Again, after it is depressed it despenses ice but when set for water, no go. So, the problem is somewhere else.

Is there some chance that the waterline to the door is frozen?

Can the operating lever in to door work for one function and not the other?

I would suppose that the water filter has no bearing on operation. It filters water and nothing else, I have found that its replacement cycle is on a timer and not related to the condition of the filter itself.
