The freezer for our KitchenAid Refrigerator (Model #KSRG25FKSS16) is not cooling any lower than 7 degrees and makes ice cubes a lot less frequently than usual (probably related to high freezer temp).

Recently replaced icemaker with APP parts. Works perfectly (when it runs).

Front panel trim of divider is extremely hot. Compressor is extremely hot. Condenser fan turns on when compressor turns on. Coils are clean. Back panel was on.

Can the condenser fan not be spinning fast enough? Is it an on or off part, or can it work (improperly) at a lower speed?

For the moment I placed a fan blowing straight at the compressor (with back cover off but through a cardboard tunnel of sorts) to see if after a few hours this helps.

Also, power cycled it with a long off period, and when I turned it back on, it appeared to run through a defrost cycle because some water dripped into to the pan before the condenser fan and compressor turned on.

Any thoughts? Replace the condenser fan motor? motherboard? both?

EDIT: After 3 hours, freezer temperature dropped to -7 degrees F with booster makeshift fan. Condenser fan still spinning. Compressor still extremely hot. Front center trim panel still hot.
